Crossbreeding has become quite a trend nowadays, with breeders trying to mix and match dog breeds to create a particular trait. But with the handful of new breeds popping around, it is pretty hard to assume what a canine’s particular kind is. That was exactly what netizens recently experienced when a photo of this adorable pooch from South Florida began surfacing on the web.
Mya, the charming pup in question, has been making the internet buzz with her unique qualities. While she definitely acts like a dog, she doesn’t look like one at all! You see, Mya boasts of a tangerine fur, perky ears, and fascinating blue eyes, making her seem like a fox that jumped right out of a forest.
Most of the people who saw her photos immediately pointed out that she resembles a real-life fire-type Pokemon and the Mozilla Firefox icon. Some even mentioned that she is similar to some video game characters, such as Crash Bandicoot and Star Fox.
While this is generally true, Mya is actually not a fox, not even a tiny bit. The viral pooch is a Pomsky, a mix of a husky and Pomeranian. This type of breed is rare to find as crossbreeding these two dogs tend to be challenging due to their size difference.
Thankfully, we get to see one through Mya’s Instagram page. Her account was made by her fur dad, Dave Lascio, where he posts his pup’s various adventures and shenanigans. The page has racked up over 50,000 followers since its creation in 2014.
Most of her photos earn several thousand comments and likes. When she is not posing for adorable pics for her fans, she can be seen traveling around the region, visiting beaches and parks, and going from restaurant to restaurant with her owner. Look at one of her adorable snaps here.
