Sometimes, children do something they don’t want their parents to know, such as accidentally breaking mom’s precious vase or sneaking to the kitchen at night to get a candy bar from the fridge. They try to hide it from their parents or refuse to admit they did it.
The husky in our story is just like that. He did something he wouldn’t admit to his mom Jodie – even though she saw him do it with her own eyes.
K’eyush, or Key for short, loves waffles. His mom doesn’t prepare it for him often, and whenever she does, he gets excited over it.
One day, Jodie decided to make waffles for the husky. These waffles were special in that they did not contain sugar or gluten, meaning they were a healthy treat for a dog like Key. She called the dog into the kitchen and showed him the waffle.
When Key saw his mom holding out a slice of waffle, he was ecstatic. He wanted to take a bite, but mom didn’t let him. She said she would give him the snack if he brought his bowl to her.
“Where’s your bowl?” Jodie asked him. The husky tried to get his mom to hand the waffle over, but she insisted that he bring his bowl. So Key went out of the kitchen, but when he returned, he didn’t have his bowl.
“Where’s your bowl?” his mom asked him again. He didn’t answer. “Did you break it?”
Key looked at Jodie and gave her a groan and a look that said, “No.” However, his mom couldn’t be fooled.
“Yes, you did. You broke it,” she told him. The guilty dog appeared to be ashamed of what he did; he refused to look at his mom. Then he hid beside the table.
Jodie told Key a few more times to get his bowl, or he wouldn’t get a waffle. Eventually, the dog went out of the kitchen, grabbed his bowl by his teeth, and took it to mom. And she was right; he did break a part of the bowl, as its handle was gone.
But Key wasn’t concerned about any of these things now. All he wanted was his snack. Watch him enjoy his waffle in the video below.
