United Airlines is one of the busiest airlines in the world. Most Americans choose this airline whenever they travel because of their excellent services. Ashley Cervantes lauded this airline because of an employee who eased her worries regarding her dog during a flight.
Cervantes works in the military. Since her job entails that she should travel from one place to another, Cervantes looks for a pet-friendly airline. But while United Airlines is a pet-friendly airline, the company has protocols regarding dogs. For one, the airlines do not allow stocky dogs. This is, of course, for the safety of the passengers.
Cervantes owns a Boxer named Maya. It is a known fact that Boxers are big dog breeds. Cervantes and Maya are traveling from Texas to Hawaii. But while Maya is not allowed to be with passengers, the dog can still fly with Cervantes, and that is through the cargo. This worried Cervantes because the shipment might not be conducive for the pooch.
The worry of Cervantes is not without basis. The flight stewardess understands where the woman is coming from, but she could not do anything because that is the rule. Although at first, Cervantes did not agree to the set-up, she eventually yielded.
Before she boarded the plane, Cervantes put a note on the dog’s cage along with her numbers. She wrote there that whoever looks after Maya should be careful to her because Maya is a sweet pooch.
During her layover in Denver, Cervantes received a message updating her about the dog’s condition. She did not expect this, but Cervantes was happy to get such assurance.
The text message came from an employee of United Airlines, who read her note inside Maya’s cage. Cervantes was in awe at the employee’s actions. This is why Cervantes posted about this on Facebook. The Facebook post has since then received traction and lauded the employee for such a gesture.
